Forgetting The Super GEETHACHARYA>?Where we go

DEARONES,

Last month I had been to various temples in thanjavur and kumbakonam districts, during Navarathri celebrations with my wife and daughter.It was a very nice trip and I want to share an experience, which I feel is very important.

We had been to the very famous village Oothukkadu, where there is a temple of Shree kalinga Nardhana Perumal,about whom the famous poet Venkatakavi (OOTHUKKADU VENKATA SUBBAIYER ) has written innumberable songs like Alaypayuthe, Palvadiyum Mugam, Kalla parvai ondre podhume and so on .

Actually the temple is now without any bakthas or poojas . No nithya pooja is now being performed in that temple now, due to lack of attention of bakthas .No revenue for the temple . The temple is now looked after by one

Mr Jayarama Battachariar, who on his own just opens the temple and lits lamp every day . His monthly salary given by our state govt is Rs 37 - and that too once in a year he has to go to Kumbakonam and collect . Actually his father and grandfathers were parambara poojaris of that temple.So as per his father s wish , he now looks after the temple.

No poojas,No abishekhas and No bakthas.

This disturbed me very much. I felt it very bad and thought to share this with you all.

Such a condition is not suitable to The great Kalinga nardhana Perumal, OUR beloved krishna .
